This is a Hubble Photo of two GALAXIES who are in the throes of magnetic attraction. I mean whoa… okay? That’s some serious heat.
It reminds me of one of my favorite YA books: Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. Nick and Norah suffered, well, maybe endured is a better word that exact level of attraction and I’m certain that if Rachel Cohn (the author of Norah’s chapters) had seen this photo she would have certainly mentioned it as part of her text. Norah’s simple admission of her attraction to Nick was epic enough to justify this photo. It was a seriously big deal.
In general, I enjoyed this book, the characters were great. And it had a very manic voice which I loved but there were some moments when I wished they would weave in some story — just a plot point or two. But I know a lot of readers out there love that manic, endless stream of consciousness so I’m sure the book did just fine.
This book also qualifies for the ‘Nobody puts baby in the corner’ club. Yep… Nick says the line (written by David Levithan) on page 40. So I still can’t decide if this movie and that line in particular is really that iconic or if it’s just that writers are just drawn to it for some reason. I can’t say for sure… but I am keeping score.
